Riding Lessons at Windy Springs Farm
Windy Springs Farm offers riding lessons on an individual and group basis. Determination of lesson type is made based on individual needs, experience and availability of space in a lesson.
- We offer a limited enrollment as six riders would be the normal maximum for a group setting.
- Riders are accepted at any level with none to extensive experience with horses.
- Although we currently work with ages 7-60, it is recommended that the very young be capable of an hour attention span and be of a safe size in order to manage on their own, once competent.
- We do recommend starting with private lessons if the rider is a complete novice, then moving on to the group setting if chosen by the rider, once safe competency is achieved.
- Your lesson can be once a week or once a day if you desire.
- Hard soled shoes with a heel and an approved protective hard hat are a requirement.
- Horse Showing/Event opportunities are available at additional costs.
Our instructional staff has a wide background of experience, from show barns to a graduate a pony club instructor. Currently, we have three instructors in the program and hope to be adding a fourth soon.
