Boarding

Boarding at Windy Springs Farm

At Windy Springs Farm, we offer a broad range of boarding opportunities for the varying needs of the individual owner and horse.

With a barn that houses 16 stalls and has two overhangs, most perspective boarders can find a suitable option for their specific needs.  As determined by the size of your animal and amount of “in stall” or “pasture” time needed, you will be able to choose the best fit of facility combinations for your horse.  The other amenities are described in detail in the facilities section, but the overview is that most of the stalls are 10x14 with two at 20X14 and four at 10X8 for our pony population. Included also in the facility are four fields of turn out, two of which are for the field boarder where there is a 24X12 run in located in each field.  The other turn out fields, also have run in coverage for those horses that spend most of their time in the free open spaces.  Two of the fields are fed by a fresh spring and the remaining two have water tanks filled from the same source.  There is a feed room, bedding room, and large tack room as well as hay storage. The barn also features 20 foot isle and a concrete wash area with hot and cold water.

The riding ring is 275x175 with all weather footing and a variety of jumps.  Additional jumps are also available in the open field which adjoins the ring and is inviting for cross country riding, or just hacking around.  Space in this field is suitable for practicing dressage as well.  A round pen for training and lunging is located close to the barn for your green horse or just for exercising.

Our professional staff and owner-operators consist of a trainer, farrier, and stable manager/instructor, at least one of whom is on site so you know your horse is always in good hands. There are also many other competent horse caretakers available as well for specialized services.  An equine massage therapist is scheduled to make a visit to WSF bi-weekly and a veterinarian on call if needed.

Please take a look below to see our different boarding options and what they include. We start at the most basic level and move to the top!  If additional services are necessary, all you have to do is ask.  If you are interested in a tour or need more information, just e-mail us to set up an appointment to visit us.
